Business Technology/Office Assistant

Would you like to work in a professional office setting? The Business Technology program is designed to prepare individuals for a career in the business field as a secretary, receptionist, or work processor. This trade not only offers instruction in office procedures such as filing systems, keyboarding, calculator skills, typing skills and record keeping, but also trains students on Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Business Technology has recently added Desktop Publishing to the curriculum. In Desktop Publishing, you learn how to use Microsoft Publisher to create pamphlets, menus, publications, and flyers. You also learn how to create Powerpoint presentations. While in Desktop Publishing, you assist with the publishing of the Burdick Times Newspaper.
