Community: The Ties that Bind

The Quentin N. Burdick Job Corps Center is situated in a northwest residential area of Minot, North Dakota. The campus is open, modern, and well taken care of by our student employees which is a reflection of their "Burdick Pride."
The campus itself is located just blocks away from Minot State University where many of our student employees enroll in the Advanced Career Program and pursue a collegiate degree. The center itself has a male dormitory with four suites, a female dormitory with three suites, and a single parent dormitory with two suites. The campus also has a Child Development Center that is operated by ABC Daycare and is attached to the single parent dormitory. Other modern buildings house areas such as wellness, recreation, vocational training, academic training, food services, administration, and career development services to provide the best of student services.
Burdick student employees are active in neighborhood clean up activities, snow removal, and provide community service to public parks. Other projects also contribute to the community in a variety of ways be it through the construction of picnic tables, handrails, soccer goals, or a Children's Activity Barn for the public zoo.
Burdick takes pride in its role as a positive entity not only in the community of Minot but also the surrounding areas.
