Food Services

If food is your thing, perhaps Culinary Arts is in your future! Here you will study food, nutritional content, measurements, cost control, menu planning, food preparation, large quantity cooking, using and storing equipment, proper sanitation, and serving techniques. There are three levels in the program: pantry cook, station cook, and hotel-restaurant cook, along with advanced training opportunities at the Treasure Island Job Corps Center in San Francisco, California. Culinary Arts/Food Service training at Burdick Job Corps is the initial step in your journey toward becoming a chef.
