Welding

The heat is on in Welding! Students receive instruction in oxyacetylene welding and cutting, arc welding (vertical, horizontal, overhead), metal-arc inert gas (MIG), tungsten-arc inert gas (TIG), and the use of hand and power cut-off saws. Students also get classroom instruction on layouts and blueprint reading. During training, various projects are constructed on and off campus by the welding students. Students are eligible to become an entry level certified welder through the American Welding Society.
